Gina M. Serena P.A. was born in San Diego, CA and raised in Massachusetts. She is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Finance and Marketing. 

A licensed Realtor since 1995, Gina's career in Real Estate began with Arthur Rutenberg Homes, selling new, high end, custom homes.  Gina holds a CSP designation, qualifying her as a Certified New Homes Specialist.  From there, she went on to spend over 6 years with RE/MAX Gulfstream, proudly honored as a Top Producer and consistently achieving membership in both the "Presidents Club",  as well as the "100% Club".

Robert Serena, a licensed Realtor since 1986, and "New Home Consultant" for The Serena Group of Keller Williams Realty of Manatee, specializes in helping Buyers wishing to purchase a brand new home or condominium.

Prior to joining Keller Williams Realty in 2004, and joining wife, Betty and daughter, Gina in forming The Serena Group, Robert was an onsite Sales Consultant with US Homes (Lennar) for 11 years.  Robert enjoyed the distinction of being a member of the Executive Sales Council for US Homes, their top sales award, for 6 of the 11 years spent with the company.  Robert's extensive experience with new construction and wealth of knowledge of the industry is an asset to anyone planning to purchase a new home.

 Robert hails from the south side of Chicago, Illinois, and attended Chicago City College.  He joined the US Marine Corp in 1965 and was a member of the 3rd Battalion/3rd Marines until 1969, during which time he did a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1966 - 1967.  From 1969 - 1993 he worked in the construction industry as a Roofing Contractor & Sales Consultant, first in Chicago from 1969 - 1978 and continued in that profession when he made his move to Florida until 1993.
                             

Besides Real Estate and spending time with his family, Robert's interests include golfing, motorcycling, and taking scenic trips in the family's RV.

Betty Serena, a licensed Realtor since 1997, "Buyer's Agent" and "Client Coordinator" for The Serena Group of Keller Williams Realty of Manatee, specializes in communication.  Betty is the team's liaison between listing and buying clients.  She makes sure that the sometimes-complicated process of buying or selling a home is "Smooth Sailing" from beginning to end for all of The Serena Group's clients!

Prior to joining Keller Williams Realty in 2003 and forming The Serena Group with husband Robert, and daughter, Gina, Betty was a Flight Attendant with United Airlines for 31 years.  She particularly enjoyed the flights that took her to Europe and South America.  Betty's 31 years of experience in the airline industry has translated into expert customer service, problem solving, and communication skills now valued by her Real Estate clients.

Betty hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was raised in Northwest Indiana.  She attended Indiana University.  Betty moved to Florida with husband, Robert, in 1978 from Chicago.  

In her free time, Betty enjoys golfing, motorcycling, taking trips with the family in their RV, and relaxing at the beach.

Steve Georgie , "Buyer Specialist" for The Serena Group of Keller Willliams Realty of Manatee, is lucky enough to be a true native to the Sarasota area.  He graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1991 and went on to further his education at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia.

 At age 23, Steve obtained his Real Estate  license and has been a multi-million dollar producer ever since.   Among Steve's accomplishments is his award for "Young Professional of The Year" for 2007 given by the Manatee Association of Realtors.  With 11 years experience and 100's of closed transactions, Steve is committed to providing top notch, professional Real Estate services to his clients.

A native of Chicago, Illinois and longtime resident of NW Indiana, Karen Rusin has been a permanent resident of Manatee County since 2002.  She has two grown sons and now resides in NW Bradenton.

 

With a background in customer service and business management, Karen began her real estate career with the purchase of two working farms that were to be held for future development. Completing rezoning, annexation, preliminary plat approvals, covenants /restrictions and working with engineers, lawyers, potential buyers and the municipality were all a part of her Real Estate education.

 

She has been involved with building various businesses through out the years and is passionate about establishing goals, team work and striving for success. In 1997, she was honored by being jointly awarded the NW Indiana Small Business Person of the Year.

 

Through her boys, Karen became aware of a need for management in youth sports, predominately soccer.  She was able to be an integral part in the growth of a local soccer club, coaching boys and girls through age 14, running parent/coaches training and licensing, ultimately working with the Olympic development training program in Indiana. These experiences are some of the most memorable in her life.
